Chemdog (Greg Krzanowski) is among the most consequential figures in modern cannabis breeding, having sourced the original Chemdog seeds from a bag of Dogbud purchased at a Grateful Dead show in 1991 — a chance acquisition that yielded the Chemdog 91, Chem D, and Chem #4 phenotypes, which went on to underpin countless modern hybrids. Pisces Genetics served as his seed company vehicle for releasing worked Chemdog lines to the public. These genetics remain foundational to the chemovar, sour, and diesel families that dominate contemporary breeding programmes.
