Corrections
Found something wrong in the archive? Send us the page, the correction you suggest and the source behind it.
Tell us what is wrong
Include the page link, the wording you are querying, what you think it should say and the source behind your correction. Dated catalogues, breeder material, clear original photographs and first-hand accounts can all help.
How we check it
We compare your report with our archive notes and other reliable sources. Sources do not always agree. When the record is uncertain, we say so rather than force a single answer.
We read every complete report, but archive research can take time. We may ask for more information before making a change.
What we change
Spelling, formatting and credit errors are corrected directly. If a change affects a cultivar's identity, lineage, photograph credit or the meaning of an older review, we add a dated note explaining what changed.
If you think we have missed something, reply with the extra source or context and we will look at it again.
Privacy
Correction emails and attachments are used to check the report and, where needed, record why a page changed. We keep only what we need for that work, then minimise or remove it when it is no longer needed. Please do not send medical records, identity documents or personal information that is not needed to check the page.
