Strains is an independently operated website based in the United Kingdom. By using the public site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not continue to use it.

Editorial information

Profiles combine historical archive observations with cultivar reference material. Names, genetics, composition, aroma, effects and cultivation characteristics can vary by phenotype, grow, harvest, cure, storage and individual account. The archive does not guarantee that every record is complete, current or universally applicable.

Nothing on Strains is medical, clinical or legal advice, and the site does not select treatments or products for an individual. Seek an appropriately qualified professional for advice specific to you.

Lawful use

Cannabis laws differ by jurisdiction. Cultivation and other regulated activity are discussed for editorial and educational reference only and must not be attempted where unlawful. You are responsible for checking the law that applies to you. Strains does not encourage illegal cultivation, supply or use.

Rights and reuse

Repository code is MIT-licensed where the repository licence says so. That licence does not cover the editorial dataset, profile text, branding or photographs. Archive material can have separate owners and permissions, and its presence does not mean Strains can grant every reuse right. Obtain written permission from the relevant rights holder unless a specific item clearly states another licence or a legal exception applies.

Funding and external links

Strains does not include paid placements or outbound retailer links in its public cultivar profiles. If that changes, material commercial relationships will be disclosed clearly. External sites remain responsible for their own content, products, availability, privacy and terms.

Availability and liability

We may correct, update, withdraw or reorganise the site without notice and do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strains is not responsible for loss caused by relying on archive information or an external site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
