Dark Horse Genetics was founded by a breeder who previously operated under the moniker IronLung on forums including Overgrow and ICmag, launching the seed company after over a decade of quiet breeding work. The breeder's defining achievement is Bruce Banner, one of the most commercially impactful strains of the 2010s, which gained widespread recognition for extreme THC potency and was later ranked among the strongest strains tested. The company later expanded seed operations to Spain, maintaining a stated philosophy of never producing feminised seeds and prioritising organic cultivation and rare phenotype hunting.
