Green Gelato crosses Thin Mint Cookies X Sunset Sherbet to create a delicious and THC-heavy strain that looks, smells and tastes delicious.
I sampled Green Gelato from Royal Queen Seeds' new line at Spannabis that year.
The terp-heavy US genetics strains are gaining more and more popularity on the European continent. Whereas in 2017 you saw mostly spanish-grown and European bred strains, and in 2018 you saw a lot of Cali import weed, this year you'll see the big seed companies exploring the US genetics to create their own crosses and strains based on genetics people cant get enough of.
Appearance
This sample of Green Gelato has a lovely complex look to the nugs, showing multiple layers and a lot of depth.
The pistils are long and golden-orange, and the trichome coverage is heavy, giving the bud a lighter appearance due to being caked in cannabinoids.
The bud structure is nice to look at, with a good density, plus the buds look unique and very dank.
Aroma

This strain captures a gassy, skunky pungency, which takes on more of a chocolope scent when the bud is ground up.
Taste
I smoked and vaped this using the Mighty Vape, and must say that both consumption methods delivered an exceptional flavour. Green Gelato vapes and smokes wonderfully.
The bud is good genetics, clean, dried and cured well, all evident from the quality of the smoke, and it is also extremely flavoursome.
Hitting with a different terp profile to a lot of what I had smoked recently, I recorded this one quite moreish! I'd say that out of the parents, Sunset Sherbet is the prevalent flavour in this strain.
Effects
A strong high awaits the consumer of Green Gelato - with 24%+ THC, this strain hits hard and fast.
Afterwards I didn't smoke for hours, despite being at the Spannabis Expo. The bowl and vape gave me what I needed and I then wandered happily through Spannabis.
The high is a wonderful mix of a mental uplift (that I recorded perfect for wandering around Spannabis) and relaxed body.
Conclusion
I really like Green Gelato - it is probably one of the best strains I smoked out in Spain. I haven't seen it in any of the cannabis clubs yet, but it is certainly one to watch out for.
