Jaffacito is a cross of Jaffa Caked Cookies and Suavecito bred by Mean Beanz. This sample was grown by 7Star Farms.
Appearance
The Jaffacito has strong-looking buds with dense trichome coverage which seem to make the colour visibly lighter - with white tints amongst the green, and hints of purple and deep pistils coursing through.
The buds are fairly dense and grind up well.
Aroma
This is not the strongest smelling strain - I needed to break the bud open to gauge the smell properly - after that I got a hash-plant sort of smell.
Also coming through is slight orange zest and floral, perfumey notes.
Taste
In fact, that smell seeps through into the flavour, which is earthy and has an essential-oil hint to it - think bergamot. The vapor was tasty but even more floral, almost tasting like a mild aftershave.
The smoke was cool and smooth through my bong, tasting very clean but lacking in as much flavour as the vapor provided. This strain smoked nicely in a joint but I was disappointed to not get the Jaffa Caked Cookies flavour at all through it.
Effects
Jaffacito is a hybrid strain with strong, long-lasting effects which began to kick in only a few minutes after the hits.
I chilled out very quickly, feeling like I could easily plant myself on the sofa for a nap. As well as relaxing me, I felt a bit of dry mouth from this one. Pleasurable effects, hybrid, indica leaning.
Conclusion
Jaffacito isn't scoring top marks due to the flavour, but that being said, I still enjoyed it.
Afterwards I tried another phenotype of jaffacito from Yorkshire Smoking Club - and found that both phenos were relatively similar in lack of flavour but strong power.
