Phantom OG is a cross of Phantom Cookies X OG Kush, bred by Barney's Farm. It combines two strains with mysterious origins, and the result packs quite the punch.
Appearance
Characterised by pine cone-shaped buds, Phantom OG's appearance reminds me of the look of OG Kush - it is a hybrid strain and has good trichome coverage, plus wild-looking leaf bases which jut about seemingly at random.
The sample I had for the review was bone dry without any stickiness. It had been given a light hand trim with some leaf still on the sample. It wasn't branded with its own artwork or a glass jar.
Aroma
The aroma of Phantom OG is pleasant - myrcene-dominant, earthy, a bit gassy and piney.

Taste
The Phantom OG's flavour is above average, and again myrcene dominant. Woody, spicy and earthy notes with hints of MOAB.
However, due to the dryness of my sample I recorded that the bowls could be a little on the hot side. Despite this, the ash burnt white and the flower tasted clean.
Effects
This strain delivers an interesting high, kicking off with a somewhat energetic and inspirational buzz, before mellowing into a deep chill - one hour after smoking this one you might not want to do much!
I recorded the multi-wave high rather pleasant, but am glad I was at home the first time I went in heavy on this one. As it left me very chilled.
Conclusion
Overall, the Phantom OG is a good strain, but the sample I smoked wasn't in the best condition. That being said, the flower was clean and the genetics were great, leading to an overall enjoyable experience.
