Rainbow Belts is a strain bred by Archive Seed Bank, based in the US. It combines ZKittlez with Moonbow #75 (part of a 200 plant breeding project by Archive Seed Bank).
Appearance
The Rainbow Belts cannabis strain does not show high levels of complexity or colour variation. The buds are a vibrant green with small yellow pistils. Some shades of green are visible, but it mostly looks all one colour.
Large visible trichomes lighten the bud and whiten the appearance somewhat.
I was impressed with the look of these buds - despite them not having the bag appeal of something like Gelato or Cookies, they were a good shape and density, feeling resinous and like they would grind up nicely.
Aroma
Rainbow Belts gets top marks for the smell. It smells incredible, in fact. I get sherbet notes, multiple fruits such as grapefruit, grape, citrus and blueberry, and a bit of OG gas to round it all off.
It smells very strong, and this is apparent right from opening the bag - grinding it up adds little more to the already potent aroma.
I must say, there are few strains I had smelt that are better than this. The only thing comparable that springs to mind is the gassy Ribena smell I get from the Shoreline strain.

Of course, this is helped by the fact that the sample has been grown and presented wonderfully, reaching its terp potential thanks to the 6th-cycle living soil.
This is one of the best tasting strains I had sampled a long time, both through my bong and vaporiser. Joints of Rainbow Belts also capture the delicious aromatic flavour notes with every toke.
Whatever way you decide to consume Rainbow Belts, it should result in an enjoyable and very palatable experience.
Effects
As well as looking good, smelling great and tasting fantastic, Rainbow Belts also delivers strong effects.
Initially delivering a motivating uplift, this high then seems to progress into a somewhat cloudy, yet very chirpy feeling. Following this, a strong sense of chill, and the desire to unwind kicks in.
All of the above make this strain well suited for an evening smoke, when you have finished work and want to relax for the evening, but perhaps less so for a wake and bake!
Conclusion
Without question, rainbow Belts has been my favourite strain so far in 2020. I first tried this back in 2019 but as an extract, by Bear and Gasleak Extracts. Sampling the flower, I was treated to an absolute delight of a strain, and hope to smoke this one again soon.
