Background
Slurricane combines Do-Si-Dos and Purple Punch. It is an indica-dominant cannabis strain.
Appearance
Dusty white trichomes are prevalent throughout this sample, giving the bud a very light appearance. The bud is nuclear green with layers of white overlaid on top.
The bud structure is small with individual bracts rather than any dense stacked nugs. It has a reasonable trim job but also a fair bit of stalk.
In fact, it reminds me of weed I see out in Amsterdam in the coffeeshops.
This batch of the flower was destined for extraction, but I got my hands on some (thanks to Reytone Extracts.) I don't know the grower.
Aroma
Researching this one, I was supposed to be getting "creamy OG with hints of blueberries" in the aroma. However this sample isn't the strongest smelling flower I had tried recently. That being said, upon squeezing a sort of tropical/berry hint is detectable.
The smell I can smell is light and isn't too apparent. This could be down to the grow not reaching the terp potential.
Taste
The Slurricane sample tastes very clean, easy to smoke through the bong and this makes it quite enjoyable due to the smoothness.

I was not overly impressed with the levels of flavour or able to make much distinction based on this sample.
Effects
I enjoyed the effects of this strain, particularly as it has the "hug" body nice-ness type high which is one of my favourites. I believe this originates in the Afghan lineage and has come through to Slurricane via the Purple Punch going back through Granddaddy Purple and Lavender genetics.
Relaxation is instantly apparent, which creeps into the mind as well making me feel definitely more chilled out. I feel happy, creative and in a good headspace, and my body also feels good.
Conclusion
Overall this wasn't the best sample, and I think it didn't reach its potential so would be eager to try this strain again, particularly as the high was so enjoyable.
Interestingly there is another Do-Si-Dos cross I don't really enjoy due to its watery flavour, Dolato (Do-Si-Dos X Gelato), and I do wonder if the lack of flavour in this strain was, in part, due to the genetics.
I will update this page next time I smoke this one and let you know my thoughts.
